Popular Nigerian content creator Peller has revealed a shocking experience after visiting a bank to deposit his foreign currency.

According to him, he went to the bank on Tuesday to deposit about $30,000 in cash, but bank officials allegedly informed him that most of the dollar notes were counterfeit.

Sharing the incident, Peller said:

ā€œI went to the bank yesterday to deposit my money. After the naira currency deposit, they told me most of the dollar currency I brought were fake. That’s almost $30,000 cash. I know the people that gave me the fake dollars, but I won’t mention them now.ā€

The revelation has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing surprise over the alleged discovery. Some questioned how such a large amount of fake foreign currency could end up in circulation, while others advised people to always verify foreign notes before accepting them in business transactions.

As of the time of filing this report, Peller has not disclosed the identities of those he claims gave him the counterfeit dollars, and there has been no official statement from the bank regarding the incident.
