Oriyomi Hamzat Raises Alarm Over Alleged Plot Against Him, Says Political Ambition Attracting Pressure

The founder of Agidigbo FM and 2027 Accord Party governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, has alleged that there are ongoing efforts to tarnish his reputation and frustrate his political ambition.

Speaking during a live broadcast on his verified Facebook page, Oriyomi Hamzat claimed that he had received information suggesting that certain individuals were plotting to link him to criminal activities, including allegations of theft and kidnapping, which he strongly denied.

According to him, he is a law-abiding citizen who has never been involved in any criminal act and remains committed to serving the people.

Hamzat further disclosed that he had been invited by the Nigeria Police, adding that he was currently outside the country. He appealed to Nigerians not to believe any negative narratives that may emerge against him should he return and honour the invitation.

The media entrepreneur also expressed concerns over what he described as increasing challenges since venturing into politics, alleging that there were plans to demolish the Agidigbo FM office in Ibadan.

Despite the alleged threats, Hamzat maintained that he remains resolute and undeterred.

“While they may demolish Agidigbo FM, they cannot demolish Oriyomi Hamzat,” he stated during the broadcast.

He argued that no amount of intimidation or political pressure would force him to abandon his convictions, stressing that while physical structures can be destroyed, determination, conviction and the support of the people cannot be demolished.

As of the time of filing this report, the authorities had not publicly responded to the claims made by the Accord Party governorship aspirant.
